Juane
Juane is the main dish of our country, people usually eat this dish in the month of June. In this month the feast of John the Baptist is celebrated, and the Juane is a dish made in honor of him.
The principal ingredients of this delicious dish are rice, chicken, egg, olive and bijao leaf.
In the jungle of Peru there are different variations of the juane depending on the place within this region.
Juane of yucca is a type of Juane, It is one of the most popular of the Amazonian cuisin. Is frecuently consumed at Easter week, it is made mainly of yucca, sacha cilantro, and paiche. Paiche is a type of fish natural from Iquitos.
Nina Juane is other type of Juane, is really delicious, the main ingredients are liver and heart of chicken, rice, onions and spices, is some different of the original Juane, but theflavor of the ingredients makes an excellent fusion.
Juane of chonta is a very delicious dish and differs from other types of Juane because it is made from chonta, wich makes it a very healthy dish. Chonta is a typical palm of the region.

Eating habits
Hello,I am Arianne and I from Peru, I live in Iquitos city. In my region the food is really delicious because everything is natural, for example in the morning I eat bread with humari, is an excellent fruit, accompanied with 100%natural coffee.
For lunch, I usually eat grilled fish with yucca and cocona sauce, for drincking I always make a juice of seasons fruits, cocona, taperiba,carambola,orange,aguaje,etc.
For dinner I usually eat Juane with tea or some juice, I really love the juane, It is delicious!
For a dessert, in my region always have a fruit, like mango,pomarosa,caimito... yes, I am very lucky to live in Iquitos.
